European Commission CosIng database

Official source for information on cosmetic substances and ingredients in the EU, in accordance with the Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. CosIng provides a comprehensive dictionary of frequently used ingredient names for labelling purposes and includes information on cosmetic ingredientssuch as their functions, legal status and scientific opinions.

COSMILE Europe

Developed by Cosmetics Europe, it is another database that provides detailed information on almost 30,000 cosmetic ingredients. It aims to provide European citizens with easy access to reliable, validated and scientifically sound information on cosmetic ingredients.

EU Regulation 1223/2009

EU Regulation 1223/2009 on cosmetic products lays down mandatory requirements for cosmetic products placed on the European Union market. Manufacturers must comply with this Regulation when preparing to offer and sell their products in EU Member States.
