Description
Chemical exfoliation becomes meaningful when it not only “removes” the surface but precisely adjusts the cohesion of the stratum corneum and leaves the skin looking calmer, smoother, with less incidental roughness. DR. HEDISON AHA 6% Peeling Gel is based on exactly this logic: a clearly defined 6% AHA concentration is created for controlled, easily integrated surface renewal in a daily routine, and the gel “peeling” form allows for precise action without the aggressive sensation that often accompanies stronger acid products.
The formula’s architecture is calibrated so that exfoliation is not a one-off effect, but a consistent texture correction. AHA (alpha hydroxy acids) target the intercellular bonds on the surface of the stratum corneum, so the skin becomes more even, less “catching” the light, and the pore area visually appears cleaner. Importantly, the gel base allows the acids to distribute evenly: instead of a sudden, patchy effect you get a more even “polishing” principle. The manufacturer opts for a modest strength here, because at the 6% threshold AHA can be active enough for texture, but are generally easier to tolerate than higher concentrations, especially if the user is seeking rhythm rather than shock.
- 6% AHA: for reducing surface irregularities, dullness and roughness through controlled exfoliation.
- gel “peeling” system: more even distribution and a gentler tactile sensation compared with liquid acid tonics.
- balanced everyday concentration: aimed at steady texture discipline rather than short-term “over-exfoliation”.
The sensory profile here is clearly Korean: the gel is light, gliding, with a “clean” product feel. The texture initially resembles a thicker serum, and when worked into the skin a gentle “beading” effect typical of the peeling-gel category may occur – it provides the illusion of mechanical removal, although the main work is done via acid exfoliation. The scent is generally minimal or almost imperceptible, without a pronounced perfumed trail; the finish is smoother, more matte than oily, with a subtle “polished” skin feel when fingers no longer catch on micro-roughness.
The packaging is designed practically: convenient dosing helps maintain a consistent product “dose” and avoids hastening oxidative processes that are important for active formulas. The visual identity is uncluttered – a signal that the brand relies not on decorative storytelling but on a clearly formulated function and compositional discipline.
DR. HEDISON lines often show an intent to combine clinical clarity with everyday comfort; this AHA gel is a continuation of that approach – an acidic correction without excessive dramatic rhetoric. Such a product is particularly valuable for those who want a more predictable skin texture and a cleaner, smoother surface feel without sacrificing comfort and a clearly understood concentration.

Usage
DR. HEDISON AHA 6% Peeling Gel use on clean, dry facial skin: spread a small amount of gel evenly, avoiding the eye and lip areas, gently massage in circular motions for 30–60 sec., until dirt and clumps of dead skin start to roll up, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water; use 1–2 times per week (less often for sensitive skin), after use apply a moisturizing cream, and during the day be sure to use SPF, do not use on irritated or damaged skin and do not combine with other strong scrubs or acids on the same day.
